Do you know of something like KPH30i, but closedback and overear?

I really like the sound of Koss KPH30i, but I’m looking for something that is a bit more isolating and perhaps comfortable as it sits on the skull and not on the ears. But,how do you find that? I have AKG K361 and I don’t listen to them. They sound fine for some kind of music, but I listed to a lot of electronic music and a lot of the headphones sound like there is a part missing, and its not just bass. It sounds like some headphones (and speakers) focus on the quality of acoustic instruments and human voice. So it’s fine if you are listening to piano or a person singing, but the moment music becomes busy, intense and full it all brakes down. That’s not for me. It should be fun and make you dance. Dance is the key word here, I do care about clarity and resolution, but I’m not listening weather the 4th string is positioned in the right corner or to the perfect pitch of that female voice or timber or what ever. No offense obviously this is a matter of preference. I guess this can be a little bit of taboo. But any help is appreciated. So far I can only buy random headphones and hope I like them, but the track record is pretty bad so far. Thanks for the help.

Koss UR42iK

I used to have AKG K451 and they were fine. There is also the K480 that seems to be more recent model.

Have you tried IEM? They can’t be beat for isolation and portability.

welcome to HFG Stravomir!

I wish I had a comment to help, but I don’t. :frowning:

Thanks for the welcome. I am mostly using IEM for that reason. The problem is the comfort, I need to find better ear tips, the stock ones hurt my ear canals. Not great, also they don’t provide any isolation. Very strange.

you dont have a seal then.
