I was thinking that but the cost of building my Estat Rig means it will come after my editing rig most likely. Plus I want something I can take around easily if I decide to travel.

And yeah there really isn’t an easy way to take estats portable lol. I am done with estats for awhile after my recent estat setup

work headphone is anti-thema to endgame headphone. cause when you’re done work, you’ll be glad to get away from the headphone while an endgame headphone is something you’re craving to sink into at the end of your work day. 
I was more talking about how he was going to build his editing rig, but I also get the point lol. Since I don’t master full time, I still really enjoy the headphones I use to do so, even though I technically use them for work
For me personally, once I decide if I like the Hd800s better or the Focal Elex, then I’ll have my endgame taken care of until that set breaks.

Not really, I think they are just different. I think the elex is closer to the utopia presentation and fr wise vs the elegia vs the stellia
i’m just repeating what i heard in reviews. i think it was zeos that said the Elex had a similair sound signature as the Utopia and he was surprised Focal was working with Drop to sell them
I could see that imo, I guess the elex has a somewhat similar signature (but they aren’t super close or anything)
Stax offers a portable dac/amp for estats for 1200
It’s actually around 900, it’s the srm-d10 and is pretty cool to take my estats around with me, I mainly use them with my 003mk2s but I do use other estats on it, but it doesn’t really compare to a full on desktop estat amp
