Or what the painter’s tape method is? Someone on Drop had success with that. Just got my tube in the mail and didn’t think it would be THIS complicated
There are some screws in the back that you have to remove. I believe they were fairly standard screws (philips/flathead). Then you remove the top cover off and should be able to replace the tube quite easily.
Okay, but these are tiny mother f’n screws, Way too small for a standard screw driver.
It’s been a little while, but I think I used an eyeglass screwdriver. The whole process took 3-5 minutes. Pretty easy once you get the cover off.
Which tube did you end up getting?

Looks like “security torx”, TR10 or TR15 size maybe?
Could get something like the iFixit Mako or Proxxon NO23 107, that should cover just about anything.
For anyone in the future that finds this, it’s a 2.5mm or 3/32 inch Hex Key. Bought that and it works like a beauty. Got my new tube in and working
