I think the shell material plays a bigger role than just tuning and implementation. Since stainless steel is dense, it could alter the way the moving diaphragm interacts with resonance and internal reflections, possibly affecting the overall sound signature…

BAs barely move air in comparison to DDs, then there is also the lack of a backwave that DDs do have, that backwave is what interacts with the shell.
For example this is how Passive Radiators works in speakers, when the active DD goes in, the passive radiator goes out. (push/pull)
Higher density = resonance hz being lower.

Example in speakers you often want stiffer materials for tweeters and less so for woofers, while keeping density high for woofers and low for tweeters.
While I do think that the DD and tuning (damping, shell structrure/shape) matters more, material is still a big factor.
It looks like a 200$ item, it sounds like a 200$ earphone and the features are 200$ tier. unbelievable value for the money.

Qcy, the t13 anc2 model. I did a evaluation here if you want to read. For the price Its a must have if you own android(eq). For ios users that can’t eq i dont recomend it.

Bud fit is crucial for sound if you werent aware. Use them with foams (seen people use buds without them…) and maybe angle them a bit diagonally.
Absolutely! fit makes or breaks the experience with buds. A slight angle or the right tips can totally change the seal, comfort, and how the bass hits ( for bass i try to stick them as close as i can). Foams especially can help lock in that sweet spot. ofc its not gon be IEM level but some of them really hit it!
