Hello everyone, super new to the audio scene and looking for a DAC/Amp for my new pair of Headphones, currently pairing them with the E10k but I feel as if they are just a little too low for my liking, any other recommendations for these? Budget is around 120$ if that helps, thanks a lot!
What headphones are you running? Also since the e10k is already a dac you can just use a 3.5 mm to RCA adapter and run it to a nice $100 amp
Headphones are the DT 990s 250 ohm version
The liquid spark is an excellent amp for that headphone my personal daily driver as a matter of fact is that amp headphone combo
Looked at it, has excellent reviews! Probably going to get it, sorry for the noob question but I just hook my headphones to the Liquid Spark then that to my PC?
So your e10k has a dac passthrough on the back of it so you can use that as a dac so you hook up the liquid spark to the e10k via 3.5 to RCA adapter and the e10k to the pc
Oh alright I think I understand, Headphones to Liquid Spark, Liquid Spark to E10k, E10k to PC? If so will the E10k be enough for this setup?
it will do you just fine as its just going to act as a dac which is does a pretty good job at that. the liquid spark will do all the work in regards to power
I’ve seen some use the Syba Sonic & Atom for the 990’s any input on either of those compared to liquid spark?
both dont have as much power as the spark., the spark also is the best pairing IMO. Adds a biit of warmth whihich brings up the mids a bit and makes the bass response tighter and stronger with the power it brings. it allso has slight treble decay which helps smooth out the often too hot top end on the treble
