Earbuds/IEM's microphone

I’m looking for a comfortable, non-headphone audio-setup with a microphone, with a budget around 25€.

I have tried IEM’s and I find them comfortable - as long as I use silicone tips in the right size. The occlusion effect doesn’t really bother me; I can hear my voice normally, just slightly quieter, but not in an awkward way.

However, using IEM’s for a extended periods doesn’t let your ears breathe, and there are some concerns about long-term use. (Just stating what I read online, but I still feel I shouldn’t be using them for long sessions even without proof)

That brings me to earbuds. I’m mostly interest in flathead earbuds, but I’ve read that the fit can be hit or miss. I definitely don’t want them falling out, and I would prefer something that either has an in-line microphone or uses a detachable cable so I can attach a mic-equipped cable myself.

That’s the other option, buying specific cables with microphone like Tripowin Zombur or Moondrop MC2 cable. Or for a even better microphone I could go for a boom mic. However I don’t need anything fancy, so my main question is, how bad are the microphones that come with some earbuds, like the Yincrow X6? I only need them for discord calls and some occasional gaming.

Possibly a stupid question, but do extension cables work with microphone-enabled cables? (I will need a extension cable for my setup, still on the look for one)

TLDR: How good is the microphone on budget flathead earbuds?
