So I recently picked up a used pair of Elex and the pads seem to be a bit worn.
Conveniently enough the Dakoni Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin are on sale on Amazon in my country.
I have seen a lot of people talk about the effects these pads have on the Elears but none for the Elex.
Anyone have experience with these pads on the Elex? should I pull the trigger on these?
Focals generally don’t do well with other pads, they pretty much all change the headphones in a negative way.
Is there anywhere to buy replacement stock pads? I heard the Drop ones were a huge mess
They were delivered eventually, clear pads are close though not identical and very expensive.
The issue with buying from Drop is it’s relatively clear that focal is reticent to sell Elex pads, so they don;t frequently come up for sale.
Jesus yeah they are I just checked…
Should I wait and hope Drop puts them up again or soo if the Dakoni’s ruin the sound?
I also live in Canada so even if Drop puts them up for sale I will be dealing with probably 50$ for shipping
