Hello, pretty brand new here, and In the throws of planning a new setup.
Slightly confuzzled to whether things such as equalizatio, sub breakout – in my case via ‘MiniDSP’ could / should go before or after the preamp and what the results, benefits and detriments in either case would be?

If everything is analog on the minidsp then I’d go after the preamp so controls (tone/eq) can drive both the mains and the sub. If the dsp is digital then before the dac unless you’re also driving headphones.
