ESS 422H - Anyone has a frequency response graph?

TL,DR: I prefer honest, neutral or “harman curve” sound. If you tell me they’re neutral-ish, I’ll buy them. I want to buy them tomorrow. I just hope the tweeter sounds “as clear as light” indeed, and I don’t want them to sound bassy or sibilant or V-shaped (with or without changing the pads, whatever).

Is it hard (or impossible) to have a frequency response graph of the ESS 422H because of the AMT tweeters inside? I don’t know… Can’t find any FR graph anywhere, and sadly the Zeos’s sound demo was made when there was problems with its recording… thing (plus, with the stock pads). Even worse, reviewers are not agreeing on anything.

-Someone said “too much bass”
-Another one said “I need a +4dB bass boost”
-Another one said "Bass is the best thing about these headphones (which is… weird to say – they’re made by ESS – they have ESS AMT Tweeters inside, and “sound as clear as light” written on 'em!)

And talking about the tweeters, someone said it had way too much treble, and another one said it “passed the Miles Davis test”.

Do you have a pair? Do they sound neutral? Bassy? V-Shaped? Too much treble? Too much anything? Do you have a frequency graph?

Ditto all headphones… what were the sources, dac’s and amp’s used?

Meh, screw it, I’ll buy the HD58X instead. They were in my list too – no comparison – I’ll just wait for a graph or a sound demo of these.

…theeze ESS’s. Essessezzz :stuck_out_tongue:
