Don’t know how much to attribute to Discourse and how much to DMS’ (and others’?) implementation, but this discussion forum is sheer joy to use. Order of magnitude better than fora built on earlier generations of software.
Simple example: it remembers each thread I’ve read and where I left off in it. So when I go back to that thread it takes me straight to the first new message.
Also, the Discourse web site touts its “natural immune system” against trolls, etc. Probably too early to tell, but so far at least discussions I’ve followed seem unusually good-spirited.
