I mean the k5 pro is super solid tbh, I don’t think you could go wrong with it. It would power everything you mentioned so far

Ye so my plan is get 58X > get Fiio K5 Pro > get Elex/Clear/DT1990/EditionXX/Ananda… that’s it
Also if I see enough change between onboard and the Fiio (since that’s supposed to be the biggest change) I might consider getting a better dac/amp in the future xD

Ehhhhh I mean it’s good but I personally don’t think it’s that good compared to the existing competition. That’s just a very strange rec imo. Like the d10 exists for the same price, but the sdac is still pretty respectable so I mean if it’s more available to you
Honestly the sdac I only ever reccomended to a guy so set on the odac and didn’t want to buy a chifi product and the sdac was his compromise

And which is better between Atom and Magni 3+, the Magni has obviously much more power as I can see
I think the sdac is prob slightly better than the dac in the fiio (but not by a lot). The atom vs the magni heresy is a more even comparison and in that case I would say take the heresy, but the atom vs the 3+ is a little different since the atom is going for neutral with a slight lean towards analytical, where the 3+ is going for a bit more colored fun sound
Bruh how do amps sound differently (like colored/analytical/ and such) when they all measure flat I never understood that
Different topology and design, and other specs. There are people on here that can explain it in technical terms better than I can, but it really does come down to the stuff that you really can’t measure

So personally I don’t think the fiio beats out the new magni or atom, but the price overall is the main appealing aspect for it imo
Well the price is not the appeal of it in my case cuz its 220 bucks here
And I can get SDAC + Atom/Magni for 210

Also Max Settings told me that I won’t even need more than 1W @ 32ohms (Atom) should easily be able to drive almost anything so there’s no use wanting more power (Magni)

Kinda true depending on what headphones you go with. If you go with a planar like the xx it might be better to go with the 3+, but otherwise the atom is more than plenty. But for the most part if it’s clean pore more headroom is always better to have, and he is correct that you don’t need that extra power for volume, but it does help elsewhere at times. Both the atom and 3+ would be great no matter what you go with tbh
