plus, i think hes not necessarily used to headphone sound. i remember the first time i used one (beyerdynamic) i was not impressed by the detail, but it’s because i was used to the detail being shoved inside of you by iems. the 58x presents the detail super forward and the soundstage is so narrow that its all there, very much like an iem
I felt the same way about the beyerdynamics at first.

That’s a fair assessment I think. Basically I think that since I don’t totally love them and my current life situation is kinda dynamic, its not worth having a second set of headphones for me right now. I would love to expand and get more and varied sounds and all that but now is not that time. The 4xx are great and I wouldn’t be unhappy with them if I didn’t have the 58x to compare to. But the 58x just outshines it so much i found I always wanted to switch back to the 58x while listening to the 4xx. So I’ll return them and expand my audio collection another time

I getcha, the 58x are amazing and even tho i do like my 4xx my favs are def the 58x. They are my babies! And yeah i get what you mean, good that you enjoy the 58x so much! Tbh same thing with me, i could be happy with just having either, don’t need two headphones either so i totally get where ur coming from
