I was talking to a guy in Arizona on the phone last summer. I said I couldn’t deal with the intense heat. He said, “Oh you get used to it”. And I think he also mentioned it was a dry heat.
He was telling me about his pool and I said he should go out and enjoy it. His response was, “We Never go outside at lunch time, it’s too hot!”
Cracked me up.
By “get used to it”, we mean “get used to transitioning between air conditioned cars and buildings with as little exposure to the heat as possible for 3 months straight because it’s really stupid effin hot”.
Yep. He said the pool wouldn’t get used until late afternoon.
Your description reminded me of Vegas in September. Just run/walk quickly from air-conditioned car to air-conditioned buildings.
I had friends with a heat exchanger on their pool. in the summer when you got out you weren’t sure if you were water wet or sweat wet. inside the house? you’d have to break the ice in the toilet before you used it!
That’s right, it’s International Beaver Day. I bet you didn’t know that. I mean come on, it’s not easy being upstaged by God! So, let’s raise a glass to the mighty Beaver and say “Good on ya” on your special day. SALUTE!
