I worked retail in my college years as well. It was in one of those supercenter kinds of store that sells everything. One night after closing I walked down a book aisle and smelled rotten meat. Investigated…someone hid a roll of Jimmy Dean sausage behind several books. I had no idea how long it had been there…but the smell about knocked me out.
