I would. She discovered a Main Belt asteroid in highschool and it was named after her. That’s why I like to say “Ocasio-Cortez is literally a Belter”.

I took the original quote to riff on her thinking the moon gives off light when it merely reflects it from the sun etc. Was pretty funny to me. Also, belters are nationalistic and don’t strike me as communist, if they were you would call them space nazis lmfao.
BTW, I misremembered, those asteroids were all discovered by someone else, the dude just decided to name them after science competition winners and AOC got hers for some biology project. My bad.
This is getting way off-topic, but not all nationalists are nazis (what?!) and in fact a lot of the ones that were simply fighting to liberate themselves from imperial occupation were if not Socialists themselves then necessary precursors to the possibility of developing Socialism in their countries, which a certain imperialist power I’m not going to mention would never have allowed otherwise.
The joke I made was that she is a communist since socialism is communism by vote rather than violent revolution. Belters are nationalistic but don’t strike me as communist otherwise you would call them nazis due to being national socialists etc. to match her politics. The secondary joke is that there is no difference regarding how authoritarians behave, just the out groups they target.
I’m not interested in speaking on it further since you may be ok with that behavior by simping for socialism and I’m not interested in e-rage.
