Hello there I was wondering what was a good amp pairing with the Adi-2 fs?
Do I even need one or would it benefit from another amp and/or dac?
I really wanted to pair it with the Rupert neve Rnhp, is this a good idea, or not?
I don’t have experience with the RNHP, but I just got a Lake People G111 in, and it’s a very nice pairing.

Welcome to HFGF! The RNHP is a very natural sounding amp, and is very good. I’ve seen some comment that paired with a very clinical DAC, though, can leave it sounding a bit thin. @Grant, you tried this pairing recently, right? I don’t have the RME, so I can’t test.

I felt like the rnhp sounded thin with the modius, the ADI2 paired really well with it imo.

It’s quite good. I would say it resolves very close to as well at the 789 but without the risk of harshness.
It’s smooth in a way, like smoother than a liquid platinum or CTH to my ears. Which is wild for a solid state amp. I looked inside it to check for tubes lol

Might be a little late but damn, I’ve paired the RME with the A90 and a tube rolled Darkvoice and I couldn’t be happier.

You are chasing the signal chain through the signal chain for what?
If you like it, it’s okay, I don’t quite understand the point.
Could you just as well take a tube amp or a clean Dac that is first class.
Or does it have a reason or idea that you do this?
Not misunderstand I just ask.

Pre-outs on the A90 for powered speakers.
I have the same stack. Love it! Only difference is I’m running a little dot mk2 with Russian voskhod tubes instead of a darkvoice.
