Got my RME ADI-2 DAC,should I wait for a THX 789 to pair with it?

And RME dac does not have a balanced output.
Is it necessary to get a AMP which has balanced output to improve the overall auditory sensation?

The output of the RME is more than clean enough. I would only add another amp if you need 4pin xlr for more power

yep,today i used a 500$ schiit amp,and made the comparison,i wanna say,RME adi-2 DAC is good and clean and power enough.if you are headphone users,just stick to RME only,don’t need another amp!

FWIW, if you wade through the Head-Fi ADI-2 thread, those who had the 789 and the ADI-2 side by side found them to sound nearly identical. And in at least one case, IIRC, slightly preferred the ADI.
