You like a reference, neutral sound in a diffuse field. Most people here don’t like that sound. 15 dB Bass boost is a lot, but still some people want to smear their ears with a lot of bass ,It’s called a bass head

I’ve either tried or owned most iems mentioned here, I’d personally disagree, it’s a great iem at it’s price point, etymotic has stuck around for a reason, but comparing to some of the mentioned iems above it really is a night and day difference (potentially multiple nights and days lol), and that difference doesn’t really lean in favor of the er2se lol

A 2 - 3db boost in any frequency region sounds emphasised or boosted, 15db is nuclear and not in the good overkill way like nuclear waste ruining everything else. The masking would be insanity
Almost not hearing anything until 2.5k to 3k. Mid bass, upper bass, all the mid range almost gone…
