Headphone Stands

The shark wall mount us kinda cool.

it could just be the angle…but it looks like they got his chin sooo wrong!

I like the idea of putting a dekoni nugget on the top of one of these:

AmazonSmile: Corsair ST50 Premium Headset Stand Black: Computers & Accessories

that’s an expensive fix. I’d just grab a battered memory foam pillow and use some double sided tape. mebe spray paint it black first so it’s not some horrible beige contrasting color LoL!

ultimate headphone cushion protection and looks with the nugs tho

true…they are 'spensive for what they are, but compared to a $500 or more headphone it’s not.

wrist sweat bands. cheap and come in any color you want.

if this doesn’t damage headphones in any way, this is neat.

Ya i think exposing headphones to a high power magnet like that for prolonged period of time has to have a negative effect on the driver

@M0N we need a guinea pig with totl summit-fi cans to test on!!!

I’m the wrong target market for something like that, I just put them on deskmats and don’t really use stands unless I’m storing them or something lol. Not like I really trust something like that with anything valuable, but also don’t know if something generating a magnetic field near audio equipment is a good idea either anyways

maybe not the target audience, but you git the gear to test if it’s safe or not.

magnets and tech do have a precarious existence tho. being a dumb kid I put a sub beside my 19" CRT monitor. turned on the speaker system and the CRT distorted and died instantly. LoL!

0 chance any damage occurs from the magnets unless the power dies and the magnet drops the headphones along with a heavy ass magnet on them. The magnetic fields in a headphone are a lot stronger than that thing is. You could probably lift a person with the magnets from a planar attached flush against a piece of metal and that stand holds one pound if really really precisely placed. I wouldn’t trust it, but only because it would fail if you had a split second power fluctuation or outage.

any evidence that substantiates your claim?

I’ve pulled a few planars apart that died on me and it’s absurdly hard to separate the magnets. Like grab with both hands with vice grips and pull while it’s stuck in a vice level of strong and the info page on those levitating shoe displays says they hold a pound.

I want to see you on a sheet of metal being lifted by planar magnets secured to a pulley system! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m half tempted to rip apart a pair of GL2k and try it.

Didn’t think they would actually damage the headphone, more like somehow mess with the tuning (that why i said negative impact), sometimes it just take a pebble to mess with a well oiled machine.
But its good to know i have something that i can crush my skull every time i put it on

Except for doing something to the magnets in the headphone, especially over extended periods of time.
