Not mine and I’m kind of just using the stand in there as an excuse to post this here because in actuality the cable matching with the headphones is what interests me the most.
Needed another stand, so I DIYed this simple one up today.
Will probably ad some metal weights to the base to make it less likely to tip over.
I remember Zeos in one of the videos was looking for a solution to store the cables amongst his yoga blocks.
So I made a hole in the yoga block and the cable looks happy in the hole.
Nice idea but a hot knife or soldering iron would’ve made a tidier storage hole?
Probably yes, I started with a circular hole and ended up with a heck lot of mess. Will fix it up a bit later.
well one idea would be to cut a round hole say 3 inch and stick a small piece of 3 inch pvc pipe in it then the cord in that…
Another idea would be not to use those yoga blocks at all since you are putting massive continuous amounts of pressure on the earpads and headband…unless you want to buy new earpads every 3 months…just a thought.
In the realm of cheap and space saving, dual/triple shower curtain rods will also work and look good without crushing pads.
Now there’s a man that knows how to hang a curtain
I always enjoy watching Adam Savage on his youtube channel; Tested. In this video he made a headphone rack(stand). Might be something some of us are looking for, mostly functional.
The problem with designs like that is if your headphones have wires to each cup, you have to remove them to put them on the stand.
I personally rarely remove cables from mine.
I agree… I usually just coil loosely the cables on the bookcase below my stands
Have one side do a loop back up and over?
Would demonstratte but my cat is very cuddly right now.
For whatever reason I can’t find a stand that I like enough to buy so I’ve resorted to this. The rest hang in a closet on the rod.
here’s something of interest. not just good for gamers as if you have to route a mouse cable and listen to music with good headphones, this would / could be beneficial as well.

Hopefully the book surface isn’t smooth, as in allowing a seal to form between the cover and the pads of your LCD-2 unit. If the pads establish a seal with the book cover, then breaking the seal too quickly when removing the cans can stretch the diaphragm to the extent that they may become damaged.
interesting… thankfully the book has recessed text on the covers… that said I didn’t know this was a thing and I’ll keep it in mind when I decide to purchase an actual stand… thanks
Glad to help. The LCD-2 rev. 2 pre-fazors are unique and are deserving of their reputation. If you need to send them back to Audeze for driver repair (knock on wood), they will replace it with the newer, thinner driver, and may add on the fazor array, thereby changing the sound. Of course out-of-warranty repairs would probably add up to a few hundred dollars. Damaged planar drivers from omega-like stands (especially cans that form a seal like Audeze’s leather pads) is not uncommon unfortunately. Still, if you take proper care of your cans, they should last for years to come (I hope). LCD-2 rev. 2 pre-fazors are becoming harder to come by, and they sound great.
Been pretty happy with this one…
