Hi, I’m new here and I’d love some help with my audio setup. I have a Fiio K3 and Status CB-1, they are nice headphones but I’m sort of tired of their flat sound. I use the bass boost on the Fiio with them and it’s really nice but I feel like I need to change.
I had the Cooler Master mh751/mh752 in the past and I loved them. The issue with them is that they break after I while because of a manufacturing issue, never buy them!
I love bass, but not punchy bass, I don’t know how to explain it. I would love to find a pair of headphones that sounds like a cinema setup, something similar to the sound of the Sony WH1000XM3.
I tried them and that sound is what I’m searching for, is there an alternative around that price tag?
I was thinking about the AIAIAI TMA-2, with the S04 driver, they can cost less than 170 but I don’t know whether the S04 is the right driver for an experience similar to the WH1000XM3. Thanks, I know it’s kind of a tricky situation.
The TMA-2’s peaked my interest a while ago (Configuration: s03h04e04c15). Now I “regret” not having them.
If you want a big sound stage, AKG K-712 fit and also do the “bass but not punchy” you asked for.
Will likely be more expensive than 170€ or $.
