Hi. I recently bought an Hidizs AP80 Pro-X DAP. I learned how to use it, have been testing it, listening to it, and I’m enjoying it immensely. However, I don’t notice any difference int he sound when I use the equalizer function. It just sounds the same no matter how I set it. It is as if the EQ function on this DAP is broken or ineffective.
Has anyone else noticed this? Am I using it wrong? Is there a way to get it to work? Am I missing something (besides some brains cells and a clue) ?

EQ is turned on with the slider in the top corner?
Do the other tone features work?
Playing from the player itself or use it as a bluetooth receiver / USB DAC?
I read EQ doesn’t work with DSD files.
I had the same issue as you. Believe it or not, the equalizer does NOT work on hi-res sources. Find yourself a 320 mp3 and adjust your settings on that file. Good luck!
