I recently purchases the Hifiman Arya Stealth and I’m in need of an amp/dac that can get the most out of these headphones.
I play shooters like Arena Breakout, Tarkov and recently Arc Raiders. I heard great things about the sound stage of the Arya and I want to make sure I can pull every bit of what these wonderful headphones have to offer.
Currently I have an old smsl sd-793 amp/dac and I’ve had it since 2017 or so. It was a cheap unit around $70 CAD ( I’m Canadian) it has no problem getting the Arya loud enough but with so much information floatinng around it gets tricky to navigate tit from tat.
What I’m looking for is either a stack or All in one unit that will help the Arya sound stage shine the best it can in the limited audio space of the gaming world. Foot steps and positional audio is top priority.
Budget wise I would like to stay within $500 Canadian.
Anyone that has recommendations for the Arya Stealth would be appreciated !
I heard great things about FiiO K13-R2R (the desktop unit not the mobile thing - fiio’s naming is pretty horrible in that regard), should have more than enough power to feed something like the Arya. Last i checked it was around 280 USD (might want to wait for black friday)
with something that old power isn’t everything, I have an old dac amp from 2016ish that still has overkill power for most things but hasn’t aged well sq wise
don’t need anything crazy, the newer FIIO stuff has been really good a $200ish dac/amp (depending on features wanted) should be plenty
