Hi Guys, What would you pick among the two? For gaming (FPS games like R6) and music. (Jazz, indie, hip hop, electronic)
Hmmm, i haven’t heard the 800s but have heard the Arya. First thing that pops in my mind with these would be the need for a proper amp. Secondly I would say what other headphones have you heard?
The arya can be a decent all rounder but may lack the bass you would want for hip hop and electronic, just my experience. I would prefer the hexv2 in this case. The arya are pretty nice though. Gaming should be fine with it, but there may be better options, as i don’t do much gaming.
Other options that pops in my head that may be a better gaming headphone plus an all rounder would be the Focal Clears or Zmf Eikon.
I had both of these. Also an Audeze Focal Elex.
I was searching for only 1 Open Headphone for like a year.
And for me it became the Arya.
The HD800s is very nice when you Play Games but i dont think it gives you the Advantage that some people tell you it would.
I feel like Most people get too excited about their New Gear and talk a little too much.
I can tell you that the Arya was battling against my Audeze and the HD800s was only in third place.
The Arya has a much more enjoyable and exciting Presentation to my ears. And If you like bass the HD800s sucks in that regard compared to the Arya.
Sorry If some disagree but Sennheiser s Bass Always sucked in my opinion.
The Arya Looks super weird and the Plastik yokes make me uncomfortable.
It is very light and comfortable compared to other Planars i had.
Looking for an expensive Headphones Just for gaming is a waste of Money. It makes little differences honestly i tried it a lot. And you get great Headphones for gaming Like beyerdyanmic that cost very little.
If you get only 1 it should Check all the boxes Like Arya does mostly for me.
