NGL I definitely want to try these Ntrax pads out. But I’m just cheap and bought some from Ali instead, I can’t tell much difference in the sound. Sorta hard to A/B test but I can’t tell much difference from stock, but they’re comfy, so overall I’m happy since it was pretty cheap.

Thank you for your interest. All NMD pads are full custom, size, cavity, thickness, color, material.

You should just figure out which ones measure well and do a larger run with lower price tbh, I’d bite in the 100s if I know they’ll work well but you’re more than doubling dekoni and over 10x the ali ones, it just makes no sense for headphones priced $500, maybe for like a he1000 or a susvara…

I’m not against any other sources for pads, infact I always advice ppl to try out the most affordable first before splashing real budget into it. This is the correct way to play audio.

I’m just here for options to those truly feel uncomfortable or need to express their own creativity or preferred ideas on their very own pads. In short create their own signature pads.

Are you having a Black Friday sale this year?

Yeah but what I mean is that if you’ve found a formula that works well for a specific model you should just do a larger run

I could do that…that’s great. But may I know when? Hehe. I’m not really following all these sales event, so appreciate if you guys could throw me some date on coming sales event.

Not really a retailer but share some creation while myself trying out multiple configuration. Yeah I do get a little profit here and there but not my main objective.

Due to custom work, the pricing will be about steep. Maybe I can work out a group buy instead too. Any suggestions will be great. Thank you to you all anyway.

Black Friday is November 25th this year. I’m sure most people who see your products appreciate that it’s a premium product. But with a little dip in the price they might bite, Good luck with sales!

The Type B actually is the most recommended pads configuration. I have a dozen sold and all positive feedback. Only 1 wanted more thicker because the stock pads is too shallow for his wide ears. So made 1 and return buy another.

Thanks man…will definitely ready for it. I think I may need to pre made plenty to lower the price even more.

Btw I do give discounts when someone ask and really ready for it. Discount 5 to 10% sometimes.

did you try the headband from aliexpress on the edition xs ?

It won’t fit. Nothing fits the XS. I’m not sure but maybe only the Ananda/Arya headbands may fit, that too if the holes are right (for the Arya). Since I have that older headband on my he400i, I can see that band requires larger holes on the cups, much larger than XS, Ananda headband.

Anyhow… Personally, I wasn’t looking to change the headband. I’m quite satisfied with it. But for any folks that are, I don’t think there’s much to do here for them.

I think I’m gonna try dremeling off the yoke right where it curves to go into the headband and drilling a hole in it to fit the Nan-6 headband.

After looking into it i havent found a replacement headband anywhere, the only way to do it would be to dismantle the OG headband and yank the yokes out and install them into the replacement headband (BTW which should work according to the measurements)

That being said Personally i dont feel like cannibalizing my 500$ headphone for an experiment

Yes that sounds like one way to do it. I like the idea.

Good thing that the yokes at at least decent and quite good quality. Seems to be better than even Ananda yokes (though never held and Ananda), definitely better looking than OG Hifiman Arya/400i yokes.

@Pokrog I’m familiar with your wild excursions. Though I don’t recommend it, but seems like one of the options too, albeit a morbid one. No one’s asking your cans to be the guinea pig for this, so let’s see what you end up deciding.

Honestly I hated this headband on the 400is but once you add that one headband cover everyone recommended in the thread and the giant pads, the xs might have the best weight distribution on any headphone I’ve tried, wouldn’t trade it at all for the ananda one with no swivel…

I’m kinda right there with you. It’s stupid comfy but it’s hideous lol. With thicker pads it sits very near the top of most comfy headphones I’ve ever worn.
