🔶 Hifiman HE6SE

I use the iFi Pro iCAN and stock pads and have had No problems so far (knock on wood!).

Good luck as they are wonderful sounding headphones.

i only used mine with an Topping A90 and my driver stuck to the side. I also requested a replacement, and my replacement had a noisy headband so I had to send it back again and waiting for another replacement >.>

Thanks for including the Pro iCAN in your pairing! How do you like the tonality of the amp with the HE6SE?

These two are a pairing bordering on magical.
The bass boost and the 3D both love these headphones.

Since yesterday I have been enjoying this amp combined with my LSA HP-2’s with lots of Steely Dan yesterday and all Deftones/Crosses today. :+1:

Just picked up a pair of V1’s from Hifiman direct. Inb4 HE6SESE Stealth gets announced 2 days after I get them…

HE6se Stealth? Do you have a link?

I was just joking, I have no clue if it’ll be a thing or not lol. I did actually email them to ask but they couldn’t say anything about future stuff.

Got them in. Ho-lee-fuk the layering is every bit as good as i remember. Getting more of it than with my Arya v2’s right now. Chef kiss worthy.

Hey guys, so i have an Onkyo home theater receiver with a Zone 2 output, my understanding is that Zone 2 is stereo and would not cut off low frequencies if i connect the HE6 directly into it, did i get this right?

If i want o use its regular speaker taps its 7.1 and the frequencies would be divided between channels.

Just wondering if i can test the HE6 on it properly

Sounds right. Always turn on the amp at zero volume then plug in the headphones. Then when you want to unplug them drop volume to zero first. Speaker amps can be finicky so take all the precautions you can.

Are these gone for good?

It took me “some time” to decice. They have been in backorder for 3 weeks or so.

Doubt it. I talked to Hifiman like 5 months ago and they said they were still producing them for Adorama, so probably just a shortage. Things could’ve changed since then though, but idk why they’d stop making them.

Back on stock for 699!

Well you know what you need to do “smash” that buy button! :stuck_out_tongue:

Quite a price increase, but still worth it. I Love them.

For the Canadians who ordered their He6se’s direct from Adorama, how much customs/taxes/fees were charged on top of the price paid to Adorama? that $499 price is too good to pass up, but I’m just worried about the border hit.

There is are no duties for items coming from America - only taxes.

Take total price in USD (price of HE6SE v2 + shipping), convert to CAD and tack on provincial GST. Keep in mind that FedEx / DHL / Canada Post, all take a “brokerage fee” in addition to the GST.

I bought direct from Hifiman and had no taxes or fees - turns out, they put the value at $20.

It is quite a difference. I just bought a different set directly from HiFiman and there were NO additional charges. But $499.00 is amazing! Wonder if HiFiman would price match?

I’d better ask you in this thread  what amp do you use with HE6se and why?
