I know you can probably just torrent everything but is there a way I can get them legitimately, cd is basically out of the picture as pricing for them is ridiculous (in Hong Kong) at times and not many are available

Games that are on Steam or GoG sometimes have the soundtrack available there.

For games:

  1. If you already have the game, it might be possible to extract the music files with modding tools. This doesn’t work as well for games that use a dynamic music system.
  2. If the contract allows, the composer/producer might sell the soundtrack.

  3. Sometimes the game publisher sells the soundtrack.
