How many of you have parrots?

how do you prevent wanton destruction of your audio gear?

I really want to post the Monty Python parrot sketch from Flying Circus, but I have successfully resisted.

I don’t think you really can if it the bird’s personality. A large enough cage, plenty of interaction (human and bird socializing if possible), and chew toys may help (generally enrichment).

Took me a while to understand this! Maybe someone makes some industrial speaker grills similar to club/pub speakers?! I can see a DIY project happening here!

Wasn’t expecting this question, but the shortest answer is to assume that any parrot is looking for an opportunity to destroy everything the moment your back is turned, because that’s not too far from the truth. Constant supervision, and cage time when you can’t do that.

Personally, I don’t have one, but my grandmother does and is an animal that I like very much, soon I will buy mine … most likely I will do it by the beginning of 2020.
