No real way to answer this, since there’s no real way to compare. By “true” r2r do you mean discrete or chip based r2r? The only way you’d be able to really test that is to recreate a schiit dac like a bifrost, gumby, yggy, with a different dac module and the same output stage and power supply, and the same digital filtering and all that and see what the differences are. So it’s just really something not feasible to really worry about, I’d be more concerned about comparing the individual dacs from schiit to other dacs for a worthwhile comparison
