Review for Aladdin is great. Seen a lot of people comparing it to Tea, but there’s just really scarce English YT reviews out there. Nice!
I asked a sample specificaly to do that.
🤷🤦🤷
No response from Penon??
Nope. Maybe it’s for the best🧐
yeah, you’ve got the Tea and EJ07m and etc etc just need to try a planar! Did you see that Shuoer is releasing a planar?
Yes I’ll try my first planars this week
rumor has it, that it’s the same driver that is in the 7hz timeless
I got caught by the KZ marketing and bought the “electrostatic” ZEX (non-pro) and came to a similar conclusion… no clue what the magnetostatic driver is supposed to do. Pretty bassy IEM, but bad quality bass, pretty muddy mids and no treble/air… judging by the graph, the ZEX Pro looks better, but won’t be to my taste anyways…
Same thought here, no clue what the MST does in the NRA/ZEX Pro…
What is that case? Looks like the Blessing 2 case, which I really liked. Where did you buy it?
That’s the stock Oxygen case
sadly other KZ/CCA products do the same without that driver
Really? I’ve only ever had ZEX…
Blacklisted.
It’s nice but it’s small. I prefer the Mele case tbh - good size, smooth zip, good texture.
Good point. The size works for the stick cable which is pretty thin. But anything bigger and the case is useless.
What amp are you using? Check the output impedance on it.
Excellent review.
I know, it depends on the source.
The ZEX/other KZ/CCA IEMs are specified at 24-25 Ohm input impedance and ASR has measured my amp at 2.1 Ohm. So there souldn’t be an issue.
I looked into the whole topic and it isn’t as easy as output impedance x 8 < input impedance, but I forgot the details to be honest. It is related to the very high sensitivity of the KZ/CCA IEMs though.
Different sources definitely have an impact on the volume of the static noise with those IEMs however (on after a while I even get used to the noise, depending on the source).
