The first impressions are very good. The mids are really nice, and they are great for vocals. I need to spend more time with them.

Iâve been running the MagicOne off my Soekris 2541 for a bit now, and I have to say that itâs really stellar for the current asking-price. Iâm pretty picky with treble, but the set hits all the right marks for vocal-centric genres, podcasts, etc. without coming off shouty or strident. Mids just cut through the mix.
If you wanted two complimentary sets in the $100 price-bracket at opposite ends of the spectrum, the MagicOne and Legato are my picks.

First impression with the Dita Project M: neutral-bright tuning done right. Not really my thing, but itâs well executed. Bass digs surprisingly deep. Full impressions coming later

I am really enjoying the Aful MagicOne. It is a leaner bass tuning than I typically enjoy, but it really works. Also, one balanced armature, seriously?

I found the MagicOne was nearly perfect for early prog rock. Yes and the Moody Blues really worked, but as I moved to bands like Rush it was a bit bright, and my brain expected more bass guitar and deeper bass drum impact.
It probably doesnât help that I was listening to Deuce on Friday evening.

Have you tip-rolled, John? Try a narrow bore like the Final Type E to add a bit more oomph without seepage into that lovely midrange.

I have, and in what was rare for me the stock tips were ideal for me. I am usually a cp100á, Final E, or Dunu S&S.

Please answer that poll, its aimed for people that use streaming services but I added the local file users as an option as well. Will help make my media server part 2 post more accurate at the end where I will compare the cost of the most popular streaming service against the self hosted option.
