IEM discussion thread (Part 2)

Glad he’s back! Well mostly, burn out is a serious thing you should never underestimate.

I burnt out for a while, deleted socials and fell into something like this. Im catching back up, but taking it slow. I hope him the best!

I am happy to see him back too. I know a lot of people that have burned out over the last 5 years, and I am pretty sure I was there about 6 months ago.

I just put a review out of two Moondrop TWS sets:

She bought it as a keyboard cleaner in some kind of 1 dollar shop.
It must be some kind of variance of last variant of this crap on aliex based on google lens

Edit: if I may ask - what shitty situation did you get your IEMs to?

Folks, it’s a great pleasure to announce that after getting the AFUL Performer 5+2 in my hands, I have no regrets and in fact I have made the right decision getting this set in the end as a Christmas gift to myself. The color of this IEM for me is a bit weird, for there are times it’s green for sure but depending on the lighting it turns into blue. Also the sound signature of this? Is exactly what I needed, a “versatile” IEM according to crinacle even though the tuning of this back then was like the IEF Neutral or something, I don’t know, correct me if I am wrong.

Also I am going to try some more tips on these, I know the stock tips are fine but a bit of tip rolling wouldn’t hurt it. So far the perfect tips for these that I have would be the SpinFit W1.

P7 with spinfits is a nice pairing. I’m glad that you enjoy them.

My IEMs are fine. The tools which the other person found on Ali make me cringe!

I think I am going to attach my EQ to the reviews.
What would be the best way to share that? ( Files and Format wise )
Using Peace for All the EQ-Related Stuffs

Just specify what filters you are using should be enough imo.
Stuff like Q value, hz and gain for the filter and what type of filter it is (peak, low/high-shelf). And then the preamp.

Good idea! Just look at the txt format that squig.link exports when using their autoeq.

Nice pick for a Christmas gift! I’ve heard a lot of great things about the Performer 5+2’s versatility, and it’s awesome that it’s working so well for you. How’s the bass response on your setup? I’ve been wondering how it holds up in terms of depth and punch.

The bass for me is just right and exactly what I wanted for my preference. They are not bass cannons in terms of bass but just the right amount where it can play bass where punch and clarity for me is balanced. And I agree some of the reviewers when it comes to the bass in general for it really is not overly boosted but it did have good body and texture from the words arifgraphy from HeadFi.

Overall I just love the tuning, for I am that guy who is more into the neutral or balanced tuning in general. Though there are those occasional moments where I prefer tunings that I rarely get into particularly the V-shaped tuning and yeah I had some encounter with the so called Harman-tuning as well particularly the Simgot IEMs that I have.

@Argha Looks like wavelet Eq, just do it like this

Preamp: -2.0 dB
1 LSC Fc 80 Hz Gain 2.0 dB Q 0.700
2 PK Fc 1500 Hz Gain -2.1 dB Q 1.000
3 HSC Fc 14000 Hz Gain -2.0 dB Q 1.000

You can put ut in anywhere from description to comment. Plus it’s easier to understand
