Believe post gain is something else and wont fix it.

try Channel Balance gain like that guy suggested.
Or just use a better app like poweramp eq.

Just tried poweramp. It can automatically set the preamp and works well. Just sometimes kinda difficult to compare between the target iems since I have to change the volume to compensate for the preamp
I assume you mean that one preset can have -5db and another -10db?
In that case when you want to A/B faster, you can simply use the biggest preamp (or is it smallest lol). So in that example, use -10db preamp for both.
Yep this. One have only -3.6 and the other can have -11. I will try using the same preamp value. Thanks!
Dunu Glacier Impression
The Glacier are provided by Dunu for a European tour. Thank you for the opportunity, and also a Thanks to Head-Fi where the tour was originally arranged. The tour is organized through the Audio Geek Europe tour group.
A little bit about myself: I am certainly no reviewer! I am merely a 52-year-old music lover, with a slight IEM hoarding problemGrinning face with sweat . I prefer more neutral leaning sets, with some or a lot of bass boostGrinning face with smiling eyes , but have a wide tolerance for different sound profiles! I also have a fondness for all BA or BA+EST IEMās, but overall sound is the important part, not the techās. The following is my short subjective take on this IEM!
As usual per Dunu, Glacier comes with a great accessory kit. Lots of tips, a good looking cable and everything else one would expect at this price. The unboxing experience should please most customersSmiling face with smiling eyes . The shells is beautifully polished steel. They have some weight to them, but fit is perfect for me, and I never notice them in use. The cable is great looking and thick. It is sleeved in a white synthetic material of some sort, with some slight stiffness to it.
At first listen the Glacier have an impressive, bass heavy super clean sound! I generally listen more to fairly neutral, (compared to this), IEMās. After I had adjusted to the energetic nature of the sound, I am still highly impressed by the extremely clean, highly resolving sound of the Glacier. I donāt know if my impression of the clean sound is caused by tuning or no possibly low distortion/high quality drivers. Maybe a combination?? Grinning face with sweat To me this sounds like a high quality, purposely fun tuned IEM
Even if as I mentioned I usually prefer a more uncolored tuning, I find Glacier excellent for older music and rock in general. This type of music benefits from more energy in the lows and highs. I am really enjoying this combination of transducers and music.
I am curious about what the other participants in the tour will say about Glacier. Dunu is also touring SA6 EST and DK3001BD in Europe, and these probably fits my tuning preferences better than Glacier. I can not wait to hear them also!!
Glacier is a deserving and true TOTL IEM. I canāt fault anything about it really, even if tuning is not 100% āmeā. The only nitpick I have is some stiffness and microphonics from the cable. If you have a chance, definitely check it out!
Great review! The Glacier sounds like it really stands out with its clean, energetic sound. Howās the fit, comfortable enough for daily use?
Absolutely! For me they are like semi custom fit. Despite the weight they ādisappearā in my ears.
Iām rocking the Giz Audio + Binary Chopin this evening.
I am still blown away by how much sound you get out of these IEMs. And I gotta say, the Chopin is proving to be a great set. Super comfortable, great technical chops and yet incredibly musical. The GU Craftsman cable was a great addition for it as well. I donāt know if itās the graphene or what, but this set has definitely benefitted Sonically from putting it on. It wears beautifully as well. I went ahead and ordered another one just to have one on hand. While I was at it, I also picked up some Divinus Velvet ear tips. Been meaning to try them out.
Ok it has been a couple of days now and so far I am liking this set which is the Pula Anvil 114. Itās still so weird and its weirdness is pretty much part of its charm and overall presentation which I like about it, for I have never owned an IEM like this before. I think once I have gotten hang of its odd fit and chunky size, itās surprisingly comfortable, especially when I have found the right ear tips for these.
Also yeah the damn bone conductor has been a unique experience for me, for I was able to hear some things on some of the tracks that I have that I havenāt heard of before and I was like āWhat the hell was that?! Wait a second, there is a sound like that on the track? What?!ā Well done Pula, despite this one being a niche set, you have left some good impressions on me.
After hearing more and more about this set, specifically the timbre and tonality, Iām thinking of picking up a set eventually.
The used market is so strong on this set and people usually donāt let them go for a lot under retail, which is a good sign.
Plus, itās an older set, so you should be able to get a deal new at retail. Good luck!
DD + 3 BA + BC (bass shaker). Its as shit as it graphs.
This DIY I made on the other hand, oh boy the bass texture shits so many iems, probably only beaten by the EX800st/1000 (+PEQ).
This is how you make a basshead set.
This DIY set sounds interesting as heck, and that iVIPq set looks disasterous!
I might consider selling it tbhā¦but not sure if there is interest. Personally I found that a lot of the so called basshead sets out there just isnt doing it correctly when they either have too little mid-bass (that damn dipā¦) and/or just have too much treble (cant turn up volume more). Especially an issue for me since i only use iems when i go out on my bike and then i need even more bass than normal to compensate for the environment.
I certainly believe in both those philosophiesā¦ I canāt skip midbass, and most V-shaped tunings that boost 7k+ to ācompensateā the bass are too sharp for me and I canāt raise the volume to where the bass can shine. So Iād be curious if you ever decide to sell sets!
Exactly! This is what I have been struggling to find for a successor to my modded OH10 and it was quite frustrating.
It would likely be in the 200-300 euro range and it would be a limited run, not sure how many are interested but if there are others that want one let me know and I will consider it. Perhaps limited to 5-10 units and if there is still demand, will consider making more.
I saw on HiFiGo they are on sale for $159. That is a super deal for a fine set.
