The “your delivery will be late” was automatic for people asking about their orders, it was not them saying “we are delivering a replacement to you”.
Their reply that was actually specific to you was asking you to mail them back.
Which definitely sucks, but is about the best you can hope for with chifi.
While not advocating Penon, when I had something fail within warranty I sent it back to them and the reimbursed the shipping over Paypal. I hope AFUL would do the same as you are only paying to send it to them because it failed within warranty cover. See if you can ask for shipping to be reimbursed.
I see thanks for clarifying it. I unfortunately did not buy it from AFUL, more like a I bought it from a seller that supplies AFUL IEMs. I guess I have no choice but to comply with them and try to find a way to sent it back to them for I am not even sure if AFUL is gonna even consider this IEM that I ordered not from them. Just need to find a way how to, for I don’t want this set to be a waste.
I reckon once you send them back the seller would be the one contacting AFUL and will get it replaced hopefully in time. Usually manufacturers are more receptive of the sellers cuz their distribution can be dependent on them. hopefully it sorted soon.
I hope so, right now I packed the item and planning to handle it later to the courier service who have delivered the item to me back then. Also I have printed a lot of proof and some screenshots to show that I legitimately order the item from the seller and the seller told me to return the item for repair. Yes, I even entered the address, the name of the seller, everything, just to show that I am not bullshitting to them at all. I am for sure going to have to pay some fucking fees, but whatever, as long as my Aful P7s get repaired or replaced I am gonna be happy overall, and just this once, let it be my damn gift to me for I have recently got my cake day yesterday.
An another update and probably the last update that I will ever do in regards to the AFUL IEMs that I have ordered back in 9/14/2024. Shipping fee for me is just too much at the moment and I am not even sure if the seller is gonna even cover the shipping back to me once the item for real got repaired or not.
I guess I am just gonna take this one as a loss guys, such misfortune, for I really love the P7s. For that, I think I am just gonna sell this for really cheap and just save up again. Man this sucks

Ok back to IEM discussions. I have recently sold my Heydays today earlier and now I am looking to get the Truthear Hexa as a replacement to it. Right now though, I cannot seem to find that set that are on stock. Is there any alternative to it? Like close to its tuning and if possible, even better than the Hexas?
It’s possible that they’ve gone out of production, but if you aren’t allergic to used sets there’s usually a few up for sale at the normal places. I’d put out a WTB here and elsewhere, I bet that you can get a sweet deal!
As far as a similar set, hmm…I’d have to leave that to others since I haven’t had my pair of Hexa for a year or two. I will say that the Letshuoer DZ4 measures pretty close, and despite the marketing shenanigans over the configuration, is pretty good when it can be had cheap (currently less than half the price of Hexa on Amazon US).
Thanks for the reply and yes I have decided to settle with a used set and my friend recently helped me with the transaction earlier. Also I just sold my Heydays recently and I think the Hexas can fill that role really well since I am in need of a neutral set for a long time now. Also a good substitute for now, until my P7s return from the repair.

Comin in with a quick one today folks, not much more to say here:
The SA6est comes in at $640 with 2x Sonion BAs (lows), 2x Knowles BAs (mids/highs), 2x Knowles BAs (highs), and 2x Sonion electrostats (ultra-highs). It has a relatively high impedance of 55Ω and sensitivity of 117 dB/mW at 1kHz. I had the chance to listen to it for a few days; thanks to AudioGeek EU for arranging the tour!
The bass has good balance between sub and mid-bass regions. Stereo imaging and separation are good. However, both male and female vocals sound a bit thin, tending towards nasal, and lack body. There’s a harshness in the treble that’s difficult to ignore. While they’re easy to drive and comfortable to wear, the tuning didn’t work for me.
These could work for those prioritizing technical performance in imaging and nicely balanced bass who don’t mind the midrange coloration. I think there are better options if you’re looking for natural vocal presentation.
