And that is an overall good thing because getting those kind of earphones back in the early days was just impossible and the prices were doubled aka impossible for most of us common men back then to get.
Sorry bro hope you dont mind me jumping in here to offer some feedback, it is the pre-order sets, as part of AudioGeek who they insisted releasing my ciem (which I explained in another earlier post) that is a bassy, more note weight with better treble resolution EJ07. This was initially a custom project with AG only but the overwhelming positive feedback turned it into EJ10 official release.
My bro youāre probably melted into music but final retail face plate might still change (tbc), everything else are final. We are just fulfilling some early AG pre-orders atm. Final retail packaging, plate tbc.
Ok people, I have decided to play safe with the budget I currently have right now. I recently ordered the Juzear Defiants and I am currently waiting for it to arrive at my door step. I hope the sounds will be to my liking, for apparently the tuning is what makes it a great purchase for its price point.
A big shout out to @Jon_let for the loan of his EJ10ā¦Where do I start?..
Well the shell is small considering the amount of drivers and being Ti itās as light as a (I canāt comment on the face plate as this one used an older one)
This set has to be one of the best Iāve been lucky enough to hear. Itās what Iād call somewhat of a W shaped tuning with the mids being slightly forward, both male and female vocals are perfectly presented Treble is energetic but never sibilant, airy and
āly, Iād say with loads of detail that picks up all the slightest nuances a recording can capture. The bass is itās š up itās sleeve, Started off listening to Kate Bush and Joni Mitchell and thought this was suppose to be EJ7 with more and better bass, and thereās me a bit confused, swopped to John Martyn Solid Air and man the bass hits and hits hard, no basshead bloat here just clean, deep, fast and only appears when the music calls for it, very clever
However this is a full on set it pulls you into the music and doesnāt let go, itās energetic, full of detail with top of the line soundstage, itās never laidback it takes you on a musical rollercoaster ride. Perfect if thatās what you want but maybe a bit too energetic for this old boater, Iād love one to add to my IEM quiver but this could never be a one and done, in fact I said to Jon if I was sent to live on a desert Island and you gifted me one of your sets then it would be an easy choice for me C12 please
Thanks again @Jon_let really appreciate it man
You are always most welcome my bud, anytime!
I would say, some people love first time hearing EJ10 such āwall of soundā full energy across all frequencies but a few would need a day or 2 to ābrain burn-inā to get used to such sound profile. Once you are set, would be in a ride for sure. A few AG members experienced the same too. Letās get EJ10 over to you for a proper week or so to see if this prevails
But ofc, C12 will always be up there be the most āaccurateā flagship IEMs from us, the 2 can compliment each other nicely too
Personally I never liked C12 that much, need someone (I knew a lot actually) value accuracy and monitoring style to appreciate it the best. I know Go-Kart bro is one of those and yourself.
cheers
That EJ10 description has me hooked! The way you described the bass; clean, deep, and only showing up when neededāsounds insanely refined. And that forward midrange with airy treble? Honestly sounds like a set that knows exactly what itās doing. Definitely on my radar now!
Aye Itāll be interesting to see what proper reviewers think and their Squig ās make of it
I found your mini review to be clear and concise enough tbh. I listened to it on my BTR17 at CanJam and your experience with a full sized DAP (DX320 right?) told me that it only gets better with more power and prowess, which was what I wanted to know.
we chatted about the resin pre-production unit vs proper Ti shell right? With the ti material, sound is even better than the resin unit and you are right, more powerful DAC will give even better results.
Edit: yes the mini review already perfectly sum up EJ10, for a EJ07 lover (me), being biased (LS rep), it is one of the best sets out there for sure.
DX300 with the amp12 card
We most certainly did. I remember saying it was scary to think how it could even get better. I didnāt doubt it would hold up with a more powerful source but itās always nice to have that reinforced (after all, demoing conditions at events like CanJam are not the same as a proper listening session).
Thanks, appreciate the clarification!
EJ10 release date is this month?
I want to know when they will be in the stores like hifigo. Hifigo pays for import taxes (Iām from europe).
You pay import taxes and if applicable VAT etc and they add it to your invoice, same as Ali.
Its not like this. They use some schema to go around import duties and vat. Same does linsoul but only for items below 260 eur. I believe I saw saomeone here explaining how it works practiaclly but for us there is no added tax.
If they use dhl however it has to go through customs like single item. Only if the use that cheap shipping service its not.like this
Currently delivering without retail packaging and final retail faceplate might change (but sound, shell, cables and carrying case all set). We are possibly 2-month away from retail release.
More likely slack import customs and revenue protection checks because if any exporter says any applicable import taxes have been paid/collected at their end then theyāre gonna be held accountable, if not then taxes etc will be applied when any products enter the purchasers country, they then will be held responsible for any fees etc owing.
