That and kiwi flex
Kiwi flex boost bass a bit
He sonic sort has the same effect, not too prominent but yeah
These are better for me than the black ones. Love these especially on my Cai Wenji and EW300.
As reported yesterday in the HBB thread, I picked up the Letshuoer Astralis IEM and I absolutely love it. But so far, I have only tried it on the SH-9. So today I started to experiment with other amps in the system. Today, now that the SA-1 has gone back to being a headphone amp and not a preamp, it was the SA-1’s turn. And I’ll be damned, I think I like the Astralis better on this amp! This speaks to the versatility of this set. Amazing!
That leaves the Liquid Platinum. That amp may be too strong for the Astralis, but I’ll try it anyway, because why not?!
This fun.
This is Vitrus Audio Apex, a new IEM company from Istanbul. The Apex is a double DD IEM that has a 12mm Chrystal Graphene and a 7mm Beryllium drivers in a coaxial design. It cost $1299 or $1499 as custom, and the more I listen to it I think it is worth the asking price.
It has a warm tuning with textured strong bass, midrange and highs is sort of balanced giving it a L-shaped type of tuning. But they also do not lack clarity even though it sound a little smooth, so music do not sound veiled or wrong. It is definitely a fun IEM, and I do not mind giving it some good time going forward to learn it more and see how it compare to some other IEMs.
My review sample was delivered with golden flakes, and has some 3D effect to it with a deeper layer. But there is also other designs, at least they show some other cool designs on their product page.
Had another delivery this week, Letshuoer Sonata. As I understand this is built upon the EJ10 that was a limited run for a closed group, and not really an official release from Letshuoer. Anyway, this should be the same driver and tuning (if not small retune of the treble). 2DD + 4BA Knowles + 4 EST Sonion and retails at $2300, so this is their current flagship and has taken down Cadenza 12 from that title.
Sounds close to how I remember the EJ10, if anything this might be less sharp as EJ10 was to much for me. This is a clear microscope into the music, with a tuning that gives clarity but also sound enjoyable without being too clinical.
