Is this about Teslas of magnetic power?
Yes, “T” = Tesla, which is a measure of how strong the magnetic field is from the magnet inside the DD.
EA500LM in da house.
Verdict is that the bass below ~100Hz is elevated and a general improvement in technical performance. They sound absolutely sublime —once I mod them exactly like I did the EA500 . The two sets of nozzles with the red ring, silver and gold, sound exactly the same. They both have a half-width low-density foam tucked inside, and swapping them out for full-width high-density foams did literally the exact same trick necessary for the EA500.
I’m a happy camper .
Just wanted to share some brief opinions on End game. I think I hit with the Elysian Anniliator 2023. Just such lovely trebble and natural sound. Also anyone remember Leo Nas? He got his fiio fx15
I’m glad that story came to a happy ending
It’s ugly as hell, ew. And those damn switches…
Anyway, Penon also shared some graphs.
Green is 100 bass mode, blue is 020 reference mode.
They were better off not releasing any graphs than to show that
Honestly that doesn’t look bad assuming the scale is exaggerated and each horizontal line is 5db. Idk why some companies stretch their graphs like that
I think the scale is actually ±10db. See how the second digit is always a 0? So 10, 20, 30…
I definitely missed those before although if you look at the numbers at the bottom the text is pretty close whereas those 0s on the Y axis look like they are floating. imo its unclear whether those jumps are 5dB or 10dB. If its 10dB… yikes but if its 5dB that actually looks like good imo.
Just to add, if that is a 10dB scale than that that rise from that rise from 2k to 2700k is about 5dB
well i guess more evidence pointing to 10dB scale. I look forward to seeing an independent graph at some point
quite different from their graph… neither are particularly intriguing to me lol
Yeah it sucks…was scammed hard by the penon bois back then…
