IEM that gives an electric shock

I have the TinHifi T3 and I like them, but they have an issue:
Every 15-20 min it feels like they eject an electric shock; a minor one no pain or such, but it feels an sounds like it.

Does anyone have experience with this or know if it can hurt my amp?

I think someone had a similar problem with their P1’s if I recall correctly?.. it was a while ago mind so I can’t remember the outcome sorry.

I own a T3 never had that issue. It sounds like there might be short of some kind? If you wiggle the cable can you make it discharge?

I tried to change cable, but it is the IEM itself.

I used to have this when I paired my Shure SE315 with an aftermarket cable I got for them, and then connecting them to my Scarlett 2i2 interface. I don’t have this issue with other IEMs or the SE315’s stock cable.

Thanks for the info buddy :+1: and welcome to the forum

I will try a different cable, but I have been reluctant, as I don’t like silver cables. They turn dark over time and looks like sh… :imp:

And welcome Buems

Thanks you guys!
