@Rikudou_Goku, I think I need to spend some time familiarizing myself with the Japanese tracks you’re always referencing in your reviews. Totally unknown to me.
Check them out, I love them.
Hiroyuki Sawano is my favorite composer and he uses acoustic instruments for most of his tracks. Probably the most famous composer in the anime world and some call him the Hanz Zimmer of japan.
It gives me a better idea of where you’re coming from with your reviews. That helps.
Thats the point of having referrences.
What about the Kbear Believe for classical? I don’t see them mentioned much on this thread and I’m curious to peoples thoughts.
If you’re not worried about having a more open back design then the Shozy Black Hole is supposed to be good with classical and jazz…looks dope too
The graph for that one looks horrible though. At that price it is way too risky since it is competing with the Zen/illumination.
Open back doesn’t strike me as a good idea for IEMs. I want little bleeding and good isolation. Make the world disappear
I have zero trust in them…
They are cool looking. I’ll give them that.
I personally haven’t heard it, but from descriptions, it sounds as if it would be ideal for classical. BGGAR reviewed it. Maybe he can chime in. It’s his favorite DD period.
I do as well. But I guess it sounds incredible. I think the Zen overall will be more to my personal liking and it’s improved bass performance vs the illumination is my thing. I love the look of the Zen as well.
That IEM does not interest me what so ever.
@hawaiibadboy, have you an opinion about the best DD for classical? I know you’re fond of the Illumination and the FD5.
Interesting. Why is that?
I was wondering…
If you guys had to recommend a budget IEM for classical musician, who didnt really care about audio stuff to this point, what would it be?
I have a friend who plays piano and violin, therefore listens most of the time to piano sonatas and such light music.
I guess it would be a DD, easy to drive, mid focused (or just not too V-shaped), max 100 usd…
(my initial thought was tin t2)
Your price is going limit your options most. My recommendations would be the Moondrop Starfield or the Fiio FD1.
Sounds like the HZ heart mirror would suit you based on the what others describe it as (seems like a mini tanchjim oxygen).
Is that friend of yours actually me? I have played the violin and the piano lol.
