After owning about 10 different headphones I’ve had two experience driver failure, kind of. First was an Aeon 2 that seemed to lose bass and a -2 db across the spectrum in the left ear cup. The second was the Sendy Apollo in the right ear cup, which went to about -4 db. Both were under warranty; Sendy agreed the driver died and replaced the Apollo in 30 min of returning it while DCA took about 10 months but finally replaced mine, though their technicians never got back to me about what happened.
I’ve come to understand driver failure is supposed to be a rare thing. Could something in my setup be causing this or is it just bad luck? I am usually careful with my gear but would like any advice on what do going forward with my headphones.
