The MT-602 is great. Amps the DT880 250Ω like a charm. I also ordered DT770 250Ω recently and that one works also perfectly. Have to dial it to only about one o’ clock position for plenty loud volume.
Don’t hear much difference in terms of sound coloration / don’t hear a tube sound. However, the tubes look pretty cool and makes what would be otherwise just a grey box a great decoration for my setup.
For around 80€ it was a great deal imo.
It’s a hybrid so you generally get less of the tubey distortion then a pure tube amp. Glad you like it though.
Yeah, I wasn’t expecting much in that regard tbh. Am perfectly happy with it tho.
the stock tubes in most hybrids these days are typically chosen by price. cheap tubes tend to not add much tube sound. and i have yet to find stock tubes on any of the cheap ones, that sound like you are using a tube anything. however, you can upgrade that experience for pretty cheap to not so cheap lol.
