Is there such a thing as Wired AND Wireless IEM?

Hello! This is my first post here in HiFi guides and I have a question.

Is there an IEM where it gives you the choice to use it either wireless (like an AirPods Pro) or normal wired?

I bought a pair of KZ ZSN Pros online recently and my mom saw it and liked it. She saw that it has a detachable braided cable, which is uncommon for us both because until now we’ve only bought basic wired consumer earphones from retail. She asked me if I could find her a pair of IEMs that can be used like an AirPods Pro and also can be used with a detachable cable and 3.5mm jack to phone like normal.

Do those even exist? I tried to search Google but it’s hard to figure out the keywords, all I’m getting are “Wired vs. Wireless” comparisons. Any suggestions/advice will be much appreciated! :slight_smile:

I’m just a casual listener and just starting to learn how to buy audio equipment smarter, because previously we only buy when our earphones break, and get whatever earphones we see on retail when we go to the mall.

this isn’t exactly what you want but it’s the closest thing/ you disconnect the wire, connect this bluetooth wire and you got wireless headphones.
other things you can do are of course buy a bluetooth dac/amp. but truly wireless, without a cable connecting the earbuds does not exist to my knowldge

Oh nice! There you go, FULLY WIRELESS. Didn’t even know those types existed, pretty neat, I think better than the Bluetooth cable too

What you are looking for is probably this, but it never took off. This in particular will probably never exist.

I think these are exactly what my mom was picturing in her head when she told me to find such earphones. Damn. Too bad it wasn’t funded. Imma do some research, maybe there’s another product like this out there.
