Yepp, it could also be an aesthetic thing with the iem looking less bulky by not having a connector. I’m deff with you on not buying if there is no replaceable cable, but maybe “normal” buyers are not that way so they do it. I wonder if it has to do with the target demographic for the product as well as what has already been mentioned.
I thought about “normal” buyers too. But dont they mostly just buy bluetooth stuff from mainsteam brands from Sony, Samsung and Apple. I feel like not many “normal” people would buy a wired iem and instead go for wireless.
