JBL Club One - my new Harman reference?

Purchased these last week when they went on sale on Amazon for $249. They’re $299 now. I’m very happy with them. Excellent build and a sound signature that’s I like. Clear mids and highs. Great bass and sub bass. Sub bass is a bit sustained, but not distorted. Great power handling. Better wired than wireless (of course). ANC is 90% of Bose/Sony best. If JBL made a non-BT/ANC version with the same wired tuning for a lower price, they’d be my top recommendation.

Wired with a THX amp at my desk, these JBL Club One have jumped right to the top 3 of my favorite closebacks at this time (with AKG K371 and Denon D5200/7200). Will take some AB testing to see how the top 3 shake out. But I like them better than my Sony Z1R, Z7Mk2, Campfire Cascade, DCA CX, Audeze EL8, and their ANC compeition. Bose 700/QC35, Marshall Monitor ANC, Fiio EH3, (note: I like Fostex/Denon/Emu 50mm biocellulose headphones, but they’re all semi-open except Denon 5200/7200 which are sealed).

Pros: FR - lively subbass with clear mids and highs, solid and attractive build, power handling
Cons: Better wired than wireless

Well for outside it is certainly quite nice.
But at home you want to hear more audiophiles.
In the price range it looks more like throwing in another Anc.
And I think it’s still a long way to go to make an anc that fits the sound and functions.
At the moment there are only some where you have something to complain about.
Nothing where there is nothing to complain about.
A battery change would also be nice where you could change it yourself and it would be sustainable. 3 years from now it might be old, but then the battery is nothing to throw away and buy a new one, right?
Well it still has a separate connection.
I think it is a little bit of wasted money.
Then better something cheap for outdoors and at home as a decent one where fits.
It would be ideal if you could use it on a pc, consoles or a streamer.

you say the Harman curve isn’t audiophile?
