Kanto Ora DAC/AMP Recommendations

Looking for recommendations to pair with the Kanto Ora. Some background, I’m more familiar with the world of headphones but I want to have a sound system for when I have guests over and we want to listen to music.

Some notes:

My budget is about $300, but flexible

I also want to use it for some fairly easy to drive headphones, I currently dont own a single pair above 32 Ohms but I want some room to use something with more impedance.

It will be hooking up to my PC

I do game, but I prefer to use my headphones for immersion

I prefer warmer or a more V shaped sound, but I usually just do that in EQ software anyway so it’s not the most important thing on this list

Something’s I’ve been looking at have been the Schiit Magni Unity and the Atoms 2 Stack. Let me know if there might be something else I’m overlooking or suggestions.

iFi Zen Signature DAC.

Aren’t those USB powered speakers? If those are the ones with USB C type connector, the best is get an optical USB 15 foot cable for a quiet noise floor. Are you hooking them up a different way?

Are you talking just the DAC? Or the whole stack? I heard the Ifi is pretty low power output without the whole stack, but I don’t have personal experience with it.

the Signature DAC is just a DAC. abd being your speakers are powered, their output isn’t much of a concern.

From what I’ve seen online these aren’t USB powered, they have a standard 24V DC in barrel plug. These just have RCA and 4 pin XLR, no optical. They do have USB-C tho. I’d probably run from the PC into the DAC/AMP then through RCA into the speakers.

Edit: forgot to make this a reply so I deleted the old one

Okay, cool. I’ll add this to my list of considerations! Have you used this DAC? What is it like?
