Been thinking about purchasing the KEF LSX II Wireless. But i’m confused how to connect it to my system. I got a Holo DAC and a Burson Soloist Class A amp. Should i use the 3.5mm Aux port? or should i bypass and just use the wireless? The I listen to CD quality audio files and Qobuz/Amazon music. A lot of the Music on these services go into high resolution 24 bit/48 khz. Would i be able to get that quality via wireless?
The KEF LSX II is a complete powered system, so it bypasses your DAC and amp—using 3.5mm would double-DAC and isn’t ideal. For hi-res (24/48+) from Qobuz/Amazon, use the KEF app over Wi-Fi or Ethernet for best quality; Bluetooth won’t deliver full resolution.
ive invested a lot of money into my dac and amp, i find it hard to believe the ones in the little kef speaker would be better. Ive been thinking about the Kali 5in. That seems to not have a lot of dac in it
There are the options.
Are the CD quality audio files on computer?
I would use directly over network so it bypasses the current DAC and AMP, since they are not needed.
This is kinda what they are made for.
As the comparison with price. You would have like LSX that are like ~+1300$ and Kalis are ~600$.
There is a pretty big gap on price… if you would like to use Holo DAC and Burson. Maybe active speakers near the 1300$ area would probably give better quality and sound experience.
How would i play my .wav files on my computer to the Kef over wireless? My comp is connected via wireless to my router. My guess is you would use some kind of player to do it? Will Foobar 2000 do it?
I suppose if i have a USB to my KEF and one to my Holo DAC i could switch to either via the sound mixer in Windows
