have you checked with Koss for support? they sell the 95X, so we can hope they’ll help!
No, I suppose I should’ve. But from various forums I gathered that they’d have me mail it back, get a replacement, and many folks reported the issue returning. I just dealt with it (also didn’t want to swap back the pads, peal off modmic mount, etc) =/.
It’s likely something inherent to the quality of your 95X rather than dust in your room getting to the drivers. I had the same issue with my first pair of 95X, in which no home fix would solve the squealing and ticking. My current pair squeals once in a blue moon, but a small tap is enough to solve the issue till it pops up again.
As for your 353X, glad to hear you like the improvements to sound with it. Every report of such makes me even more tempted to save up for a good STAX amp or better.
