Gotcha, I just see so many amps claim to power it, but I just think a similarly priced speaker amp would be a greater improvement lol

Nope. Violectric is simply an Audiophile oriented offshoot from Lake People, and not exclusive in any shape or form to the USA. One can purchase it just about anywhere in the World…
