LCD 24 + Xi Broadway + ?DAC?

Hello peeps, I just wanted to make a new topic to see if anyone here has used a Xi broadway with a LCD 24, and what DAC they ran with it. I’d like to know what DACs would have good synergy with these headphones and amp (and I’d like to go with the xi in this case if/when I end up getting a diana v2). I tend to like a little warmer leaning signature that doesn’t sacrifice clarity (warm neutral). I also love me a wide and organic soundstage for soundtracks and classical, but since I also listen to electronic and other synthetic genres it’s not my #1 priority. A DAC in the 1-5k range is what I’m looking at getting for this setup. It’s also very possible that I’d also use my auteurs with whatever DAC I end up with through my BHC. Any suggestions would be massively appreciated!

The broadway is a good pairing with the 24, imo pretty solid. Perhaps could be a bit more forward for my tasts but really no problems and pretty enjoyable. Dac wise you do have options, depends on what type of sound you are after, generally I think xi’s own sagra is a pretty great pairing as it really increases slam, tilts more neutral slightly warm, gives very nice depth, and has great overall control. In that same sonic vein I think a berkeley alpha series 2 is a pretty great pick as well (and an aqua la voce s3 too). I’d say all three of those are solid pairings with the bhc as well with the aqua being the best out of the three for a bhc as well. These three dacs will lean the combo more neutral with only a bit of warmth though

I enjoyed the holo dacs with the broadway for more expansive staging, a pretty quick but organic sound, slightly less tonally dense but no real problems there, def warmer smoother leaning but not too far. I also liked a crane song solaris quantum for being a bit more on the fun side of things without going overboard. The holo isn’t exactly the best paring with the bhc as it’s a bit gimped single ended (and the crane song has no single ended lol)

If you like your bf2, upgrading to a yggy a2 is a pretty reasonable choice imo, although again not exactly the best with the bhc due to gimped se (still better than the bf2 though so that might not really matter), but personally I think that gets a bit too thick and warm with the broadway, but pretty large staging and good organicness

Thank you for all the suggestions m0n! I’ll definitely consider and do some research on the stuff from aqua, holo, and crane then.

Can confirm , 24 and Broadway is pretty dang good, I had that paired with an yggy a2

My primary chain is L&P P6 Pro>Broadway>LCD-24 (or Diana V2), which I really enjoy. The P6P won’t perform quite to the level of a couple of M0N’s mentions, but it can hold its own with a slightly dryer signature, but a lot of dynamics, detail, and depth with a touch of sweetness up top.
