I own these, and 880 600. I think an Asgard 3 gives you sufficient power (300mw) along with a complimentary sound signature. This will be my choice, along with DarkVoice downstairs with turntable.
I know I’ve spent a bit more of your money money, but if you don’t want balanced - this will be very worthwhile.
The 990 seems to bother many who are treble sensitive, pairing it with a more modestly powered amp with an analytic signature would put the chance-of-appeal (%) rather low. There’s someone out there for everything.
Of the two, I’d vote for the Liquid Spark given the original options.
